about

Open Records is proud to present, Ambra our first release of 2020 from Italian innovators Nocturnalism featuring Giulio Scocchia, with two stellar remixes from French master Vøsne.

Nocturnalism is a collaboration between two formidable and established producers Diego Simonetti, (Knobs) and Francesco Lenci (Re:Set), focused on the deeper end of the house and techno spectrum. Guilio Schochia is a trumpet player and flugelhornist who played live on the record.

We are excited to welcome them to the label for the first time, alongside the long-awaited return of Parisian master Vincent Courcot (Solead/Motion) in his exciting live synthesis-driven guise as Vøsne.

With its sultry vocals, washed out live horns by Giulio Scocchia, smoky atmospheres and spacious but involving groove, the Original Mix of Ambra is a perfect example of Nocturnalism’s moody, seductive sound.

Vøsne’s Interpolation turns it up a notch and injects some serious grunt into the bottom end, reinventing Ambra into a swirling melodic techno masterpiece.

Closing it out in style, Vøsne’s Tesselation submerges us even deeper with its hypnotic tribal rhythms, analogue warmth and cosmic, dubby vibes.
